Steamboat Arabia

Located in the City Market District, the Steamboat Arabia Museum chronicles the excavation, restoration and preservation of the contents of a sunken steamboat in 1856. Visitors can walk on an actual size version of the boat's deck and witness the actual paddle wheel and boiler room. The museum also features the largest collection of pre-Civil War artifacts anywhere. Tours are available from 10:00am to 4:30pm Monday–Saturday and Noon–3:30pm on Sunday.
